I have been sewing for as long as I can remember. I was known to crochet and sew small outfits for our family pets as a young child. At 10, I made my mother a diaper bag while she was pregnant with my sister. By 17, I was making soft bodies for a porcelain doll company in exchange for porcelain painting classes.
Evergreen Alterations came to be when a friend suggested I put an ad in the local paper for alteration services. With a flood of customers, I quickly began a business that grew overnight and has now been serving the Bennington area since 1998.
Specializing in: tailoring, mending and some custom work. I am a woman owned small business. Currently, a government contractor, working for the Department of Defense. I've been contracted to work with Vermont State National Guardsmen.
While still maintaining a civilian client base in the area, I alter the uniforms of the: Bennington Sheriff's Department, Bennington Police Department and Vermont State Fish & Wildlife.
Sewing and creating is my pastime and passion, now I am able to share it with my community.
